Reservoirs of Aligarh city are getting new life

Achal Taal is a locality in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. This work was started on 10th July 2019 and the expected date of completion is 14th July 2022. The agency working on this project is UPRNNL. The total compound area is 18,410 sqmts. Total shops on the periphery of the complex are 27.
It has some famous places such as Rajdhani complex, Shri Varshney College etc. Aligarh Smart City is doing redevelopment and beautification of Achal taal which consist of 30 feet tall Shiva murti which is showcasing heritage consisting souls from 12 jyotirlings, water filtration, road side shops for revenue generation, 100% waste management, musical fountain with light and sound shows, boating facility for people to enjoy, water mountain cafe, space for practising hawan and tulsi vatika. The main strategy to develop Achal Taal is the water filtration system, to enhance horticulture and pathways, to increase footfall of local tourists, to showcase the heritage of that place, focus on the aesthetic elements and the smart city waste management.
