Aligarh Smart City took the students to the Integrated Control and Command Center (ICCC) on the completion of 7 years of the Smart City Mission at the national level.

Aligarh Smart City took the students to the Integrated Control and Command Center (ICCC) on the completion of 7 years of the Smart City Mission at the national level. The ICCC, located in the municipal office, was constructed by Smart City Aligarh and is being looked after by the employees of the Municipal Corporation office and the Afcon Group. The interns and students of Aligarh Smart City started the ICCC tour by reaching the Municipal Corporation office at 10:00 am. ICCC Expert Kamal Shree Kamal gave an in-depth understanding of the working style of the Command Center to the interns and students at the ICCC office. Interns and students also asked questions related to the command center to ICCC experts and got their answers.

Significantly, the traffic control system of the city has now been fully digitized with the help of ICCC developed by Aligarh Smart City. Under the ICCC project, more than 600 cameras have been installed across the city and 64 PTZ cameras have been installed at the intersections, which act as surveillance. To connect the network of surveillance cameras, optical fiber has been spread over a length of 84 km across the city. Along with traffic control, ICCC also helps in e-governance and in checking the weather and air quality of the city. Not only this, an emergency number has been given to the citizens to direct their problems to the command center and emergency contact boxes have also been made at different places in the city. 

Aligarh city residents can also use the Smart Aligarh App which is linked to ICCC to register their complaints and suggestions. After the ICCC visit, the interns and students had a chance to visit the seminar room at Jawahar Bhavan.

Here, PRO of Smart City Aligarh, Omair Iftikhar gave important information about the Smart City Mission to the interns and students. He also informed about the various goals of the mission.
